Aloha friends,
It's been a while! I took a break from Weekly I/O for a few weeks to reassess the purpose of writing it (and also, I was traveling in Europe and spent some time back in Taipei and Jakarta 😅).
For now, I will focus on writing my own opinion rather than just summarizing others. That said, I'll still write the usual I/O occasionally, but you can anticipate more articles in a non-I/O format.
Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe for the first time. During my trip, I spent about a month exploring the continent and stayed in three different cities: Paris, Berlin, and London.
Inspired by Paul Graham's Cities and Ambition, I made a conscious effort to jot down my first impressions of each city, trying to guess the unique message that each one was trying to convey to me. The first note is about Paris.
You can read the article on chengweihu.com/paris-impression. Hope you enjoy it :)
Please feel free to share your thoughts! I would love to have your feedback on either the articles or the new format.
And, as always, looking forward to learning from you.
Cheers,
Cheng-Wei
